Howard Brings Spice to the Slam Dunk

Dwight Howard who believes that with out creativity one cannot succeed in the Slam Dunk Competition, added spice to his performance and mesmerized the spectators. Howard indeed impressed everyone by dominating in both the rounds of competition. He scored 50 in his first round dunks and received more than 78% votes from the fans in his finals. Howard did two beautiful dunks in different rounds that are unthinkable by the others. He knew very well that people do not wish to see the repetitive dunks but want some thing different and spicy.

Howard said he had inspired by Andre Iguodala for the first dunk, in which he tossed the ball to himself with his right hand to the back of the backboard and caught it with his left hand and remaining at the back of the glass threw it down the basket. Later Howard revealed that he was practicing it for two years. In the finals he made another class dunk by tossing the ball from the left wing and caught it with his left hand on right side and threw it down with his right hand. Though it was an extremely difficult dunk, Howard made it look easy with his practice. He did the Superman dunk in between the two spectacular dunks.

The Boston Celtics Success

Boston Celtics were in serious competition for a lottery pick and were what appeared to be light years away from putting a competitive team on the floor several months ago. The Celtics are focused and are playing with a since of urgency. ticket sales went through the roof but I don’t think that anyone predicted the Celtics to have 29 wins and 3 losses which just happens to be the best record in the league when the trades were made in the off season there was immediate excitement.

Phoenix Suns (+ 2) vs. San Antonio Spurs (- 2)

Yesterday we witnessed a great tonight between the Suns and Spurs. Of course, both the teams haven’t been as dominant this year as some expected. Though the Spurs have to restrain their ardour because of the injuries to Tony Parker and Tim Duncan. Now, Duncan is back and Parker is on the shelf. Maybe because of that the Suns showed better results in that match-up. Let’s see what will be next.

The Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat

nnbbaa.jpgThe Boston Celtics have recently played against the Miami Heat and showed some interesting things about this current edition of the fabled Boston Celtics. The very beginning of the game was something like the Celtics thought it was the 5th quarter of the 45 point blow out of the Knicks. The players were a bit fussy, but anyway managed to get it through and win.
